Color variations are expected due to the naturally occurring minerals and deposits in the slate. No two pieces are alike. Slate tiles insert easily into a pre-formed framework welded together with sturdy metal parts. Due to natural variances in slate thickness, some unevenness in the top is expected. Legs mount easily in corners with assembly bolts into pre-drilled holes. Little effort is required to maintain the beautiful features of the Johannasburg tables.
